GANANOQUE, ONTARIO
STONE & SOUTH CONDOS
FLOOR AREA: 15,900 SQ.FT.
ARCHITECT OF RECORD: CHAMBERLAIN ARCHITECT SERVICES LTD.
Situated north of the St. Lawrence River, the proposed buildings overlook the prominent gateway to the Thousand Islands, a popular tourist destination in Toronto. The building scale is broken down by its irregular plan configuration, asymmetrical elevation walls and various roof lines, various balconies and decks which all contribute to creating a picturesque signature building image on the waterfront gateway. While applying new building technologies, the building design is inspired by traditional English style featured in Lower Town Area of Gananoque where the sloped roofs, decorative timbering gables, high quality brick and stone masonry walls are incorporated into the exterior designs to create an architectural landmark reminiscent of historical context.
